About the role

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is seeking a Coils Machine Operator for the 1st shift. The hourly rate for this position is $24.45 per hour, with a shift premium of $2.50 per hour for off shifts. Salaries are based on candidate skills, experience, qualifications, market, and business considerations.

Schedule

1st shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate winding machines to produce coils of various sizes according to specifications on winding sheets, diagrams, and order pouches
  • Work with coil conductor configurations including strip, round, and rectangular wire in various combinations
  • Read and interpret winding specification documents, recording coil numbers on the coil and labor paperwork
  • Install and adjust devices on the coil winding machine to meet window sizing specifications
  • Load strip, conductor, and insulating paper onto dereeling mechanisms
  • Measure materials, adjust the machine, and verify proper alignment
  • Place and adjust the coil form as specified
  • Apply pack out per specification on each section of the coil
  • Fold, insulate, and tape-weld pre-cut leads to strip stock of the coil body
  • Operate a crimping tool to crimp wire to static shielding
  • Complete a two-week welding and brazing training at WCTC

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 months of machine operating experience or education in manufacturing, military, or a related field
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship, now or in the future
  • Must live within 50 miles of the Waukesha, WI facility (exempt for Active-Duty Military Service members)

Qualifications

  • Preferred: High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
  • Preferred: Minimum of one (1) year of manufacturing experience or military technical training
  • Preferred: Minimum of six (6) months of prior coil winding experience

Skills

  • Ability to interpret prints, quality specifications, and safety/maintenance/operating instructions
  • Ability to work overtime when required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; bend, twist, grab, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, and use both hands for essential duties (with or without reasonable accommodations)
