Coil Tubing Mechanic

About the Role

The CT Lead Mechanic provides guidance to Shop Mechanics in repairing oil field and mechanical equipment, diesel engine vehicles, control systems, and HVAC systems. This role involves troubleshooting equipment issues, training less experienced employees, and conducting safety and maintenance inspections in a shop environment.

Responsibilities

• Direct Shop Mechanics to maintain and repair company mechanical equipment and vehicles while adhering to safety procedures.
• Manage preventative maintenance and repairs on engines, transmissions, vehicles, forklifts, manlifts, light towers, generators, heaters, oilfield heavy equipment (including flowmeters, pressure control equipment, and separators), and other mechanical equipment.
• Inspect machines and mechanical equipment, and run diagnostic tests to identify functionality issues.
• Use technical diagrams, blueprints, and schematics to install, troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair equipment, engines, and compressors.
• Train shop mechanic employees on company operational and safety procedures.
• Lead by example in maintaining company facilities and equipment in a neat, clean, and organized manner.
• Maintain accurate documentation of service and repairs.
• Maintain company tools and equipment by following operating and safety instructions.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent.
• Certification from a trade or technical school in maintenance or repair, or equivalent field experience.
• Minimum of 6 years of mechanic experience.
• Basic understanding of Microsoft Office.
• Ability to uphold company safety standards.
• Proficiency in understanding and interpreting mechanical schematics, drawings, and prints.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in extreme weather and physical conditions.

Preferred Qualifications

• ASE and/or CMRT certification.
