Cog Railway Track Worker

Responsibilities
- Perform track maintenance including clearing ice and snow off tracks and switches
- Must be dependable and able to work scheduled hours or extra hours as required, including on call as necessary
- Follow direction and implement tasks with little to no supervision. Operate trains and other equipment as necessary
- Heavy physical labor over extended periods of time in extremes of weather from heat, wind, cold and snow
- Able to work at high altitudes, 14,115 ft., and exposed to outside weather conditions (snow, ice, wind, sun)
- Work around electricity with risk of electrical shock
- Janitorial/maintenance around depot, shop and grounds when required
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Uphold and abide by all Broadmoor policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Willingness to work weekends, holidays and varying shifts
- Work schedule is non-standard
- Weekends and holidays required, some night and early morning work may be required
- Work load is seasonable with peak work coming in the summer between Memorial Day and Labor Day
- Valid Driver’s License required
- Any employee driving a Broadmoor vehicle must be 18 years or older
- Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic team member who works well with others
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
Qualifications
This is a safety sensitive position. Applicant must be able to pass post-offer pre-employment drug screening and will be subject to random drug testing. Pay
$19.00 per hour
Schedule
Non-standard, includes weekends, holidays, and varying shifts. Peak work comes in the summer between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
