COFFEE SHOP SUPERVISOR (FULL TIME)

About the role

Fresh Ideas is hiring immediate full-time COFFEE SHOP SUPERVISOR positions at Missouri Southern State University located at 3950 Newman Road, Joplin, MO 64801. Online applications are accepted only. Schedules are full-time Monday through Friday from 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM, with some evenings and weekends required. More details will be provided during the interview process.

Responsibilities

• Direct the activities of associates during a specific shift and oversee that assigned job expectations are completed while maintaining policy and procedure.
• Provide training and create work schedules.
• Evaluate the performance of workers, rewarding high performers and disciplining employees who fail to meet reasonable standards of work performance.
• Prepare production or sales reports for management and ensure the unit meets quality, productivity, and safety expectations.
• Act as the contact person for employees with complaints or requests for time off.
• May act as a mentor, develop employees, and encourage workers to set goals and strive for advancement within the organization.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• 3 years of prior experience as a Barista.
• 3 years of prior supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Skills

• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
• Experience with scheduling and performance evaluation.

Pay

$17.50 per hour to $18.00 per hour.

Schedule

Full time schedules; Monday through Friday, 5:30 AM to 2:00 PM. Some evenings and weekends may be required.
