Responsibilities
- Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service
- Greets customers with a smile and addresses them by name
- Assists customers with their shopping needs
- Answers the phone and takes customer orders
- Works with co-workers to maintain a positive work environment
- Handles food safely and keeps the work area clean
- Prepares and replenishes products as necessary
- Runs department registers and handles payments
- Maintains strict adherence to hygiene and dress codes
- Reports to work on time and as scheduled
Qualifications
- Ability to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions
- Ability to do simple addition and subtraction
- Understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
- Write identifying information
- Request supplies orally or in writing
- Must be able to perform medium work
- Must have visual acuity, color vision, depth perception, and field of vision
- Must be able to perform physical activities such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, fingering, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
- Must be able to perform in a store environment with exposure to noise, equipment movement hazards, cleaning chemicals/solvents, and possible electrical shock and temperature extremes
