Coffee Production Manager

About the role

The Coffee Production Manager oversees all aspects of coffee production, including roasting, grinding, and packaging. This position is based in Sacramento, CA.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations to ensure efficient and high-quality coffee production
• Manage roasting schedules and adjust roasting parameters to meet product specifications
• Monitor quality control processes to maintain consistent product standards
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth supply chain management
• Develop and implement training programs for new employees
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., food science, agriculture, business) or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in coffee production or related field
• Proven leadership skills and ability to manage a team
• Strong knowledge of coffee roasting techniques and equipment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Qualifications

• Experience with coffee grading systems and sensory evaluation
• Knowledge of green coffee procurement and logistics
• Understanding of sustainable coffee practices and certifications
