Code Enforcement Inspector

General Information

The City is seeking a dedicated Code Enforcement Inspector to join the Code Enforcement Division. The salary is dependent upon experience, with a hiring range of $28.46 - $31.62 per hour. The benefits package includes health & wellness benefits, 6% retirement contribution match, and 3% 457 Deferred Compensation match, among others.

About the Role

You will conduct professional field inspections, investigate code-related concerns, and manage cases to ensure compliance with municipal codes, land development regulations, and applicable international codes. You'll also educate the public, promote voluntary compliance, and apply fair, consistent enforcement practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED required
• Two years of code enforcement work experience to include public interaction, conflict resolution, and familiarity with legal procedures is required
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record (and maintain while employed in this position)
• Must possess, or be able to obtain, a Basic Code Enforcement Certification through the Colorado Association of Code Enforcement Officials within two years from the date of hire, and a Housing and Property Maintenance Inspector Certification through the International Code Council (ICC) within one year from the date of hire
