COBOL Developer
Mainframe Programmer (COBOL)

Key Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain COBOL-based mainframe applications supporting essential payroll and related business operations.
- Analyze, debug, and optimize existing code to improve system performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, and system administrators to define requirements and deliver technical solutions.
- Perform data analysis, file management, and batch processing in JCL and VSAM environments.
- Support production systems by troubleshooting and resolving issues promptly.
- Document system designs, code changes, and operational procedures.
- Provide continuity of support for legacy mainframe systems during transition and future replacement initiatives.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in mainframe programming, with a focus on COBOL, JCL, and VSAM.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- PREFERRED: Familiarity with DB2, CICS, and batch processing.
