Coatings Lead (Night Shift)

What You’ll Do

• Operates conventional and airless spray equipment to apply industrial paint finishes on metal and other types of surfaces
• Mixes and applies alkyds, epoxies, gel coats, powder coats, urethane, zinc epoxies or water borne paint systems according to a prescribed formula
• Cleans paint lines, paint guns and performs other cleaning preventative maintenance
• Regulates temperature and air circulation in drying ovens
• Understands curing process
• Uses cranes and mobile equipment (forklift, telehandler, ext.)
• Operates a grinder
• Troubleshoots machinery
• Follows all safety rules and practices
• Works as a team, demonstrates high ethical standards, treats all coworkers with dignity and respect, and supports a positive working culture

Safety Sensitive

Safety is a top priority at Arcosa Wind Towers. The Coating Lead must adhere to all safety rules and practices.

Preferred Skills

• One year paint experience or ability to learn paint process quickly
• Basic knowledge of mill gauge and pressure monitors or the ability to learn
• LEAN standardized processes for paint or the ability to learn the LEAN standardized processes

Working Conditions

• Hourly full-time position
• Work/maintenance coverage beyond the normal hours, shift, and on weekends/holidays
• Ability to tolerate both high and low temperatures, loud noises typical of a manufacturing plant
• Hourly position, 4:30pm - 3:00 am Monday - Friday (subject to change based on business needs)
• Mandatory overtime often required
