Description
The Coating INSPECTOR at CommTech Global is responsible for ensuring that all delivered equipment meets the company’s quality standards, regulatory requirements, and performance specifications. Key responsibilities include:
- Performing onsite inspections and documenting reviews
- Ensuring proper induction times and pot life compliance
- Observing and recording instrument calibration reports
- Inspecting and addressing surface preparation and coatings in hard-to-reach areas
- Preparing and completing audit reports with photos and communicating findings to cross-functional teams and suppliers
- Managing and reviewing supplier corrective requests
- Interfacing with suppliers to ensure product compliance and performing supplier audits
- Developing measurement techniques for product release at suppliers
- Supporting manufacturing areas (external) and supervising quality metrics
- Assisting in corrective and preventive action investigations
- Reviewing incoming supplies and products from vendors for defects
- Maintaining detailed reports on supplier quality and defect rates
- Communicating with senior management, clients, and vendors
- Interpreting and confirming production and assembly information
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED Certification
- NACE Level 1 certification required
- Ability to work 50+ hours per week
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat Reader DC
- Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and standards
- Experience providing visionary strategic leadership and implementing a strategic plan
- Basic understanding of electricity and instrumentation
- Strong commitment to personal and team safety
- Excellent customer service skills
- Physical abilities to lift up to 25 lbs, travel 90-100%, and work in remote field settings
- Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a vehicle
