Coating Applicator Technician

What You'll Do
- Assist in surface preparation activities including pressure washing, sanding, grinding, and masking
- Support the setup and cleanup of coating equipment, hoses, and job site materials
- Absorb in coating application processes using brush, roller, or spray equipment under supervision
- Mix coatings and materials per specifications under the direction of experienced crew members
- Follow all safety procedures and wear proper PPE, including respirators and fall protection
- Help with environmental monitoring (e.g., dew point, temperature, humidity)
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and toolbox talks
- Show up on time, work hard, and demonstrate a willingness to learn the trade
- Absorb in completing daily production and safety logs as required
What You Bring
- One year of coating application experience or relevant experience is required
- High school diploma or GED required
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or at heights
- Reliable transportation to and from job sites
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude and respectful communication
- Ability to travel 90%+ required
- OSHA 10 or 30 Certification preferred
- Interest in pursuing AMPP/SSPC/NACE coatings certification
- Able to obtain and maintain a DOT medical card and unrestricted driver’s license w/ acceptable MVR
Qualifications
