About the role

A Snapshot of Your Day

You will be part of a distributed team of engineers and scientists in a technology department. The task of this team is to develop new ceramic and coating materials, technologies and test methods for the stationary gas turbine, but also for the energy transition in other areas of the company. You will have the opportunity to work with various departments as well as internal and external interfaces to develop new ceramic and coating technologies for customer requirements.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Analyze customer requirements for ceramics and high-temperature coatings
  • Contribute to the development of innovative materials and processes
  • Serve as technical interface between internal and external partners to coordinate technology development, design, production, quality and services.
  • Proactively looking for the acquisition of public funding to support research and development projects.

What You Bring

  • Required:
    • Bachelor's Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Natural Sciences
    • Targeting 5-8+ years' related professional experience. Applicants with more experience may be considered for a higher level. Open to Masters level graduates with relevant research project work and/or internship experience
    • Ceramic coatings, corrosion coatings, thermal barrier coatings
    • Willingness to travel internationally
  • Preferred:
    • Master’s Degree
    • Power generation, Electric, Gas, etc.
    • International / global teams

About the Team

About the Gas Services division offers Low-emission power generation through service and decarbonization. Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators. Decarbonization opportunities through service offerings, modernization, and digitalization of the fleet.
