Coater Technician

Main responsibilities

• Cleans, inspects and measures more advanced/complex substrates to ensure quality.
• Packages optical components
• Sets up tooling
• Loads parts into chambers
• Starts coating runs
• May perform tooling fit checks/reviews
• Able to read and comprehend prints for determining specs on surface quality, substrate dimensions, arrow marking for side one and side two, packaging requirements
• May begin training and/or perform second check chamber start
• Understanding of non-conforming material and how to scrap material
• Understanding of substrate material
• Inspection of normal product
• Trained on ISO / mil / final inspection
• Raising tech issues with tooling, specs, process sheets, etc
• Understanding defect types
• Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Teamwork – works effectively within the team.
• Experience working in a cleanroom environment
• At least 2 years of work experience in a process manufacturing environment is desired

Pay Range

Pay Range: $20.00- $24.00 per hour, depending on experience.
