Coater/Painter

Responsibilities

• Prepare parts and materials for coating using techniques such as abrasive blasting, cleaning, dipping, and masking.
• Apply various painting techniques including powder coat, wet paint spraying, Cerakote, and hydro dip on different materials.
• Follow all principles and practices of powder coating application.
• Operate coating equipment including guns, hoppers, and booth collection systems.
• Observe machine gauges and equipment operation to detect defects.
• Determine paint flow, viscosity, and coating quality through visual inspections or quality control instruments.
• Bake parts at appropriate temperatures within specified time limitations.
• Demonstrate knowledge of thermosetting resin coatings, wash, and pre-treatments.
• Ensure components are produced/coated efficiently, meeting company quality goals and customer on-time performance.
• Maintain quality standards and processes throughout the facility.
• Adhere to safety guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
• Load and unload parts or products onto fixtures.
• Perform maintenance and repair of painting equipment.
• Properly clean and maintain equipment.
• Operate loading and unloading equipment (fork truck, pallet jack, hand tools, etc.) safely and responsibly.

Pre-employment controlled substance testing is required. Background and qualification checks will also be conducted.
