Coastal Waterfront Engineer
About the role
GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager/Assistant Project Manager to join our Coastal Waterfront team. This is a full-time position that will be located in our Oak Brook, IL or Brookfield, WI office location. The ideal candidate is a Coastal, or Geotechnical, or Civil Engineer with a strong interest in Coastal Waterfront projects across the Great Lakes Region. Projects include shoreline and beach protection, site development, living shorelines, coastal bluff slope and toe protection, dredging and various other coastal projects.
Responsibilities
Managing projects and tasks
Preparing project plans utilizing Civil 3D and technical specifications working closely with Principal Engineers
Regulatory permitting
Affixing with field survey data collection and other field work as needed
Conducting technical analyses/calculations
Completing data engineering analysis
Managing projects and tasks
Construction administration-field and office support
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in coastal or marine engineering, geotechnical, or civil.
Master’s degree a plus
Minimum 4 years relevant work experience
College course work in coastal science/engineering preferred but not required
Strong Civil 3D/AutoCAD skills
EIT or PE preferred or ability to obtain
Pay
The base salary for this position may range between $90,000 and $115,000. The actual base salary and total compensation will depend on many factors, including location, candidate experience, education, professional licensure, and other qualifications.
