About the role
The opportunity involves focusing on large-scale water and wastewater infrastructure projects with a focus on coastal engineering related to waves, tides, and erosion. You will coordinate with all other internal/external team members on moderately complex projects and assist with identifying key client interests and drivers on less complex projects.
Responsibilities
- Plan, analyze, and design coastal and nearshore civil works projects, including shoreline protection and flood mitigation.
- Perform coastal, hydraulic, and hydrodynamic modeling to evaluate waves, tides, storm surge, and sediment transport.
- Prepare engineering designs, calculations, and technical reports in support of civil works projects.
- Support permitting and regulatory coordination with local, state, and federal agencies.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate coastal engineering solutions into broader infrastructure programs.
- Provide engineering support during construction, including reviews, field observations, and issue resolution.
- Contribute to coastal resilience, risk reduction, and climate adaptation initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
- Ability and motivation to lead portions of complex projects with guidance and mentorship.
Qualifications
- Active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) requirements for BV projects in applicable countries.
- Holds an active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) requirements for BV projects in applicable countries.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of coastal and nearshore civil works projects.
- Experience with coastal, hydraulic, and hydrodynamic modeling.
- Proficiency in preparing engineering designs, calculations, and technical reports.
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience with permitting and regulatory coordination.
- Knowledge of coastal resilience, risk reduction, and climate adaptation initiatives.

Schedule
Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based upon manager discretion, job performance and work assignments.
