COAHS Part-Time Driver

About the role

The Carlisle Council on Aging and Human Services (COAHS) is seeking a friendly, dependable driver to join our transportation team one to two days per week, with additional fill-in opportunities available. As a COAHS driver, you’ll do more than drive — you’ll help older adults and individuals with disabilities stay connected to their community, appointments, shopping, and special outings.

Responsibilities

• Safely transporting passengers on local trips and exciting day outings to destinations such as Waltham and Boston
• Assisting riders in and out of vehicles with care and professionalism
• Operating wheelchair lifts and ramps as needed
• Helping maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming vehicle environment
• Collaborating with a supportive and dedicated transportation team

Requirements

• Valid Massachusetts driver’s license with clean driving and CORI records
• Familiarity with local and surrounding communities
• Familiarity with and access to phone, computer, and email
• Ability to interact in a positive, respectful, and patient manner with transportation clients and colleagues
• Ongoing participation in safety or other training as required
• Subject to random drug and alcohol testing as required. Drug screening includes marijuana/THC.

Qualifications

• Large vehicle driving experience a plus

Pay

Starting non-union pay will be Grade 2, Step 1 at $22.62/hour.

Schedule

This position is part-time, one to two days per week with additional fill-in opportunities available.
