What You Will Be Doing
- Facilitating one-hour live sessions focused on life skills and social-emotional learning (SEL) with students in grades K-8 covering subjects such as public speaking and concentration, utilizing Alpha's established playbook.
- Conducting daily motivation sessions designed to ensure 100% of students reach their weekly application goals through age-appropriate motivators including school currency and performance leaderboards.
- Developing Guides via direct observation, precise feedback, and practical training so they execute sessions with equivalent energy and accuracy.
- Analyzing Coachbot data and student profiles to determine which students require intervention, then providing that intervention directly.
- Personally mentoring your designated student cohort, demonstrating the coaching and motivational techniques you expect all Guides to employ.
What You Won’t Be Doing
- Creating lesson plans or developing curriculum. Students progress through adaptive apps; your focus is making the people supporting them exceptional.
- Delivering traditional lectures before a classroom. You operate as 80% facilitator, 20% content expert; if you prefer standing at a whiteboard, this role isn't suitable.
- Compromising standards due to pressure from parents or administration. When a student achieves 99%, the response is "not yet" — and you'll receive full institutional support to maintain that threshold.
- Working from an office processing administrative documents. The majority of your time involves direct engagement with students and Guides.
- Waiting extended periods for performance evaluation. Data appears live in Coachbot and adjustments occur immediately.

- Proven history of managing a team of 5 or more individuals, including hiring decisions and performance-based terminations.
- Demonstrated experience coaching, mentoring, or delivering constructive feedback to enhance engagement and performance.
- Professional experience working with youth aged 5–14 in educational or developmental contexts.

Nice-to-have Requirements

- Experience as an athletic coach, camp director, or youth program manager where you directly motivated children to achieve quantifiable goals.
