Position Summary

TourToTeach, driving financial performance, ensuring customer satisfaction, and supervising and developing associates.

What you'll do...

  • Tour stores and provide feedback to associates.
  • Communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations.
  • Utilize technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction to introduce and lead company change efforts.
  • Provide clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicate business objectives to teams effectively.
  • Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards by following and demonstrating the One Best Way (OBW) service model.
  • Manage and support customer service initiatives such as Store of the Community and community outreach programs.
  • Ensure customer needs, complaints, and issues are successfully resolved by developing and implementing action plans to correct deficiencies.
  • Lead and develop associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, providing associate recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace.
  • Recruit and develop qualified associates to meet staffing needs and achieve company growth potential.
  • Coordinate, complete, and oversee job-related activities and assignments by developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs, and identifying and communicating goals and objectives.
  • Build accountability for and measure progress in achieving results, identifying and addressing improvement opportunities, and demonstrating adaptability and promoting continuous learning.
  • Drive the financial performance and sales of the designated store area by reviewing and evaluating PL Profit Loss statements, managing and assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses, and developing and implementing action plans to mitigate shrink and ensure sales and profit goals are achieved for the business area.
  • Supervise and develop opportunities for hourly associates by assigning duties, setting clear expectations, providing associate recognition, and promoting a belonging mindset in the workplace.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures by implementing related action plans, utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy, and providing direction and guidance on applying these in executing business processes and practices.
  • Act with Integrity by maintaining and promoting the highest standards of integrity, ethics, and compliance, modeling the Walmart values, holding oneself and others accountable, and supporting Walmart's goal of becoming a regenerative company by making a positive impact for associates, customers, members, and the world around us.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2 years’ of college; OR 1 year’s retail experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience; OR 2 years’ general work experience and 1 year’s supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
  • General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports to include the responsibility of performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.

Additional Information

  • For facilities that sell firearms, a successful completion of a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training is required.
  • For facilities that sell only ammunition and have state specific requirements, a current state issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required.
