Coach - MS Co-Ed Soccer (Effective 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR)

About the Role

Promote sportsmanship and foster good character in student-athletes. Provide for the safety and welfare of all participants. Supervise students in practice areas, locker rooms, busses, and at all times during the season. Exercise patience, tolerance, and diplomacy in relations with all players, parents, co-workers, contest officials, and spectators. Interscholastic activities are an extension of the classroom, and your actions, behavior, and interactions with student-athletes should reflect this.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during practices, games, and related activities.
• Maintain safety and welfare of all participants.
• Model and enforce sportsmanship and good character.
• Manage interactions with players, parents, officials, and spectators diplomatically.

Requirements

• NFHS Sportsmanship Certificate (at employee's expense).
• NFHS Concussion in Sports Certificate.
• ATC Student-Athlete Health & Wellness certificate (review PowerPoint and sign affirmation).
• Act on Facts Suicide Prevention Training or NFHS Student Mental Health and Suicide Prevention certificate.
• Current CPR with AED certification (in-person only; EMT license supersedes this).
• Current First Aid certification (in-person only; EMT license supersedes this).
• Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Must be available to work on Saturdays as needed.

Requirements Prior to Start Date

• Bloodborne pathogen training (provided by TUSD Risk Management Department after hire).
• Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

Effective: 2026-2027 school year. Location: Borman K-8 (DMAFB). Season dates: 01/04/2027 - 03/18/2027. Stipend is prorated for days missed due to late starts or early terminations. This position is temporary and not eligible for district benefits.
