Minimum Requirements

• NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching certificate (at employee's expense) – Fundamentals of Coaching Course
• NFHS Concussion certificate – Concussion in Sports Course
• ATC Student-Athlete Health & Wellness certificate (must review PowerPoint and sign a document affirming PowerPoint has been reviewed)
• Act on Facts Suicide Prevention Training OR NFHS Student Mental Health and Suicide Prevention certificate – Student Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Course
• Current CPR w/AED (On-line classes are not accepted; EMT license supersedes this requirement)
• Current First Aid (On-line classes are not accepted; EMT license supersedes this requirement)
• Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
• Must be available to work on Saturdays as needed

Requirements Prior To Start Date

• Bloodborne pathogen training after hire by TUSD Risk Management Department
• Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization

Pay & Schedule

• Effective: 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR
• Location: Secrist Middle School - Houghton and Golf Links Area
• Season Dates - 1st Season - August into October
• Stipend to be prorated for days missed in the sports season due to late starts or early terminations
• This position is temporary and not eligible for district benefits
