About the Role

This position supports CVCA’s athletic programs in accordance with the OHSAA and our athletic mission to Build Christ-like Character as Ambassadors for Christ through Competitive Excellence.

Ministry Requirements

• Maintains a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ
• Faithfully upholds CVCA in prayer
• Demonstrates behavior aligned with CVCA’s Mission Statement, Statement of Faith, Core Values, policies, and expectations
• Effectively represents Jesus Christ to those within both personal and professional spheres of influence

Responsibilities

• Train, disciple, and encourage student-athletes to perform athletically to the maximum of his or her potential to honor and glorify the Lord Jesus Christ
• Communicate the mission of the program
• Integrate the program into the school community
• Supervise practice and manage games
• Support student-athlete success in all areas of the student experience
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Previous experience coaching or playing

Working Conditions / Physical Demands

• Physical activity as needed, including running, walking, and standing for extended periods of time
• Evening and weekend work may be required
• Local travel for games
