Job Summary
We are looking for coaches who want to inspire, motivate and make an impact on our athletes (customers). Our coaches should be part motivational speaker, educator, fitness guru, and the homie. At Fitnesse, you’ll be able to put your mark on training sessions with your personality, curated playlist and style of teaching. This is an opportunity to join our small and scrappy team and help grow the Fitnesse brand, community, and experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead strength training and HIIT workouts for small groups of clients, utilizing knowledge of functional fitness, strength, and conditioning.
- Provide personalized attention and guidance to clients, ensuring proper form technique, and safety.
- Ability to modify movements for athletes who have limitations/injuries and know to progress them for athletes who want a challenge.
- Create and maintain a positive and inclusive training environment, fostering a sense of community and teamwork among clients.
- Curate fire playlists to keep class engaged and energized.
- Collaborate with other trainers and staff to develop new training regimens and studio initiatives.
- Maintain a clean and organized training space, ensuring equipment is in good working condition and properly maintained.
- Participate in recording workout instructional videos for the Fitnesse Training app.
- Be a Fitnesse ambassador in and out of the studio
Requirements
- Previous experience as a strength training instructor or personal trainer in a group setting.
- Strong knowledge of strength & conditioning principles, techniques, and exercise physiology.
- Certified personal trainer certification from a recognized organization (e.g., NASM, ACE, ACSM, ISSA).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients.
- A passion for helping others achieve their full potential.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- An athletic background is a plus, but not mandatory.
- Ability to work weekends, early mornings, evenings.
- Able to work a minimum of 6 classes a week.
- CPR/AED certification is required (can be acquired after hiring).
