Coach (Head), Volleyball, Middle School

Responsibilities

• Aid in the development and execution of daily practice plans and training sessions.
• Help organize and lead event coaching sessions, addressing the unique needs of each athlete.
• Facilitate warm-ups, drills, and conditioning sessions to enhance overall team fitness.
• Foster a positive and inclusive team culture through effective communication and support.
• Assist in preparing for competitions, managing logistics, and providing coaching during events.
• Provide constructive feedback and evaluations to help athletes improve their performance.
• Collaborate with the Head Coach and other coaching staff to ensure the program's success and growth.
• Maintain regular communication with athletes, parents, and school staff to keep everyone informed.

Requirements

• Previous coaching experience in volleyball (preferred but not required).
• A strong passion for developing athletes and promoting teamwork.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• The ability to motivate and encourage student-athletes effectively.
• Must maintain certification with the Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL).

Qualifications

• Strong educational background or equivalent experience.
• Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Experience with sports administration and management.

Skills

• Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of volleyball techniques and strategies.
• Proficiency in using technology for coaching and administrative purposes.

Pay

$1,800 per season.

Schedule

Practice typically occurs after school hours, with additional time required for meets and events.
