COACH | Elevate Academy

About the role

Elevate Academy is a co-ed, residential treatment program for adolescents, specializing in trauma, mood disorders, adoption and attachment issues, and similar diagnoses. Elevate Academy Coaches work directly with our students, providing supervised support and mentoring to guide them in a forward, therapeutic progression. Coaches assist students in learning how to self-regulate and implement therapeutic tools during daily activities.

Elevate Academy is part of The Heritage Community, a long-standing, non-profit 501(c)(3) treatment program founded in 1984 and located in Provo, UT.

Schedule

• Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm
• Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday: 2:30 pm - 10:00 pm
• One Sunday rotation every four weeks: 8:00 AM - 10:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Develop close, personal, and emotionally supportive relationships with students to coach them in their treatment progression.
• Implement clinical treatment plans as outlined by the Treatment Team.
• Ensure a healthy, comfortable, safe, and caregiving environment is maintained.
• Participate in a wide variety of activities with students (e.g., sports, bike riding, skiing, rock climbing, hiking, swimming) to encourage skill development.
• Use mediation and intervention techniques to redirect students during escalated moments.
• Transport students to and from off-campus appointments and activities using company vehicles.

Requirements

• Must be at least 20 years of age or older.
• Physical ability to provide interventions, such as safety holds.
• Valid Driver’s License with no more than one traffic violation in the past three years to transport students.
• Proficiency and fluency in speaking, understanding, reading, and writing English.
