COACH COUNSELOR
Les Peters Academy is a moderate-risk residential commitment program for female youth aged 14 to 19. This program provides comprehensive care, treatment, supervision, and evidence-based intensive mental health services. Youth will also receive psychotherapeutic services, including individual, family, and group counseling while in the program. A youth’s length of stay is determined by the assessed risk to reoffend, their progress in reducing applicable criminogenic needs and risk factors, and the completion of their individualized treatment plan.
About the role
As a Coach Counselor (Youth Care Worker), you will provide 24-hour security and supervision to ensure the safety of our youth at all times. You will monitor and document behaviors, participate in sports and recreation activities, and assist and mentor youth as they learn and develop within the program.
Responsibilities
- Provide 24-hour security and supervision to ensure the safety of youth
- Monitor and document youth behaviors
- Participate in and supervise youth during sports and recreation time
- Assist and mentor youth in their development and progress within the program
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- One year of experience working with at-risk youth in a direct care position OR 60 hours of college education
- Valid Driver’s License
