Requirements & Qualifications

• Current CPR/AED Certification (must be hands-on training; online courses not accepted)
• First Aid Card (must be hands-on training; online courses not accepted)
• Coaching Certificate
• NFHS Concussion Certificate
• NFHS Sudden Cardiac Arrest Certificate
• NFHS Heat Illness Certificate
• Knowledge of adolescent psychology
• Valid TB test
• Fingerprint clearance
• Keenan course completions
• All other RJUHSD mandated certificates
• All coach clearance certifications and requirements as stated on the RJUHSD website
• Prior swim coaching experience at the high school or competitive level (preferred)
• Knowledge of swim techniques, water safety, and NFHS rules
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
• Letter of Introduction
• Resume (include 2–3 references)

Comments & Other Information

This position will work in coordination with the existing Swim Head Coach to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Swim Program.

The candidate's coaching philosophy and style must be in alignment with, or be willing to be trained in, the District's Education-Based Athletics philosophy and the Inside Out Coaching Initiative.
