JOB TASKS

• Aid the head coach with practice sessions to develop sport skills and sportsmanship among student athletes.
• Supervise student athletes before, during, and after all school-sanctioned events; ensure their safety at all times and provide them with necessary safety gear.
• Attend and monitor practices and games.
• Communicate to athletes and parents about practice schedules, games, academic performance, respect, commitment, dedication, and sportsmanship.
• Follow all Poudre School District guidelines.
• Assist with inventory and security of equipment and supplies.
• Assist with equipment maintenance, locker-room supervision, and extra practices.
• Communicate discipline procedures, safety concerns, and any student injuries requiring emergency medical services to the school Head Coach and Athletic Director.
• Show fairness and consistency in all decisions and judgments related to the sport participants.
• Adhere to district guidelines for building use and field access, including following procedures for reservations, access, and care of district facilities.
• Arrive at work in a timely manner.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & LICENSES REQUIRED

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous coaching experience in the sport is strongly preferred.
• Criminal background check required for hire.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications required before coaching assignment begins.
• Complete required trainings upon hire: Concussion, Blood Borne Pathogens, Child Abuse and Reporting, and Sexual Harassment.
