SUMMARY

Aid the Head Coach in developing athletic programs by teaching and supervising student athletes, ensuring compliance with CHSAA and Poudre School District guidelines.

JOB TASKS

• Assist with practice sessions and games to enhance sport skills and sportsmanship.
• Supervise student athletes before, during, and after school-sanctioned events, ensuring their safety.
• Communicate with athletes and parents about practice schedules, games, and expectations.
• Follow CHSAA and Poudre School District guidelines, assist with equipment management, and attend to locker-room needs.
• Report student injuries and communicate disciplinary issues, safety concerns, and emergency medical services to appropriate personnel.
• Adhere to district guidelines for facility use and follow established procedures for reservations, access, and maintenance.
• Attend work promptly and perform other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience, And Licenses Required

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous coaching experience in the sport is preferred.
• Expertise in fundamental skills, rules, and schemes of the sport.
• Criminal background check required for hire.
• Valid Teaching License or Special Services License from the Colorado Department of Education, or valid CHSSA Coach Certification.
• CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications must be obtained before coaching assignment begins.
• Complete required trainings upon hire: Concussion, Blood Borne Pathogens, Child Abuse and Reporting, and Sexual Harassment.
