Tell Me More

Telling a student who achieved 99% that they haven't passed is the most supportive action you can take. If that statement causes discomfort, this role isn't for you. If you agree, continue reading.

About the Role

Alpha students complete their academics in two hours daily using AI-driven self-guided applications. There are no teachers, no lectures, and no classroom content management. This structure allows you to focus on what genuinely shifts student outcomes: facilitating high-impact workshops on communication, concentration, and constructive critique; using live analytics to drive students toward complete goal achievement; and developing the Guides who support you in this work.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Facilitating one-hour structured workshops on essential skills (communication, concentration, feedback exchange) for K-8 cohorts, adhering to Alpha's established playbook rather than creating content independently
  • Conducting motivation sessions leveraging student data and Alpha's incentive architecture (campus currency, performance boards) to achieve 100% goal attainment across your cohort
  • Developing Guides in program adherence and standards maintenance, ensuring each coaching interaction yields concrete next steps
  • Managing your own student cohort while simultaneously advancing other Guides' capabilities
  • Maintaining student satisfaction metrics, goal completion percentages, and Guide effectiveness indicators weekly to identify performance gaps before they escalate

What You Won’t Be Doing

  • Teaching or tutoring academic content to students. Academic learning happens through self-directed apps without adult instruction.
  • Creating curriculum or developing original lesson materials. The playbook is established; success depends on execution fidelity, not creative innovation.
  • Coaching Guides on instructional pedagogy. Guides don't instruct, so your coaching focuses on energy management, motivation techniques, and accountability systems.
  • Granting exceptions for 99% performance when 100% is required. Maintaining expectations demonstrates your belief in their capacity to reach the standard.
  • Serving as the campus emotional support figure. Students receive connection and relationship here, alongside candid feedback and meaningful consequences. Coach

Basic Requirements

  • Available to work on-site in Atlanta, GA; Oklahoma City, OK; Tulsa, OK; Austin, TX; Keller (Fort Worth), TX; The Woodlands (Houston), TX (relocation assistance available)
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Psychology, Business, or related discipline
  • 5+ years professional experience in education, learning and development, coaching, youth leadership, or comparable domain
  • Demonstrated history of managing a team of 5 or more adults, including responsibility for hiring and performance-based termination decisions
  • Hands-on experience working with children aged 5-14 in educational or developmental contexts
  • Experience building, launching, or substantially scaling a program, team, business, school, or initiative from inception
  • Established practice of using data and metrics to establish weekly objectives and inform decisions, beyond simply reporting outcomes

Nice-to-have Requirements

  • Master's degree in Education, Psychology, Organizational Leadership, or related field
  • Experience coaching athletics, leading outdoor or experiential programs, overseeing camps, or managing youth ministry at a scale requiring cohort management and outcome measurement
  • Transitioned from classroom instruction to program development or operations roles: EdTech, tutoring enterprises, youth-focused nonprofits, or school intervention teams
  • Early-career pattern of exceptional individual performance — academically, athletically, or professionally — prior to leadership roles
  • Conviction that traditional education systems are fundamentally flawed and personal commitment to systemic reform
