Co Teacher (Senior Internship)

About the role

The Co Teacher position is for the Senior Internship Course during the 26-27 school year at College Achieve Paterson Charter School in Paterson, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and standards-based instruction
• Develop and implement lesson plans that reflect student needs and curriculum goals
• Provide assistance with goal setting, resume creation, and interview tips
• Establish a classroom culture that promotes learning, respect, and high expectations
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress and classroom activities
• Audit and track student performance; provide feedback and intervention as needed
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and school leadership
• Participate in professional development sessions and school-wide initiatives
• Support school events, field trips, and community-building activities
• Complete administrative responsibilities including attendance, grading, and lesson planning
• Adhere to all school, district, and network policies and procedures

Requirements

• Valid New Jersey CE, CEAS, or Standard teaching certification (or eligibility for certification)
• Must pass a criminal history background check
• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field
