About the role
Join our team as a Machine Shop Assistant. Responsible for assisting in the operation and maintenance of machinery and equipment within the shop.
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain various machine tools and equipment
- Assist in the setup and adjustment of machines
- Perform quality checks on manufactured parts
- Follow safety protocols and ensure a safe work environment
- Participate in regular training sessions to improve skills
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic mechanical aptitude and understanding of shop tools
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Good physical condition and ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Qualifications
- Experience in a manufacturing or related field is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in using basic hand tools and measuring instruments
Skills
- Basic computer literacy
- Team player with good interpersonal skills
- Ability to learn new tasks quickly
