About the role

Responsibilities
- Support design tasks, including calculation, simulation, CAD modeling, analysis, component sizing
- Component or system level mechanical testing
- Component teardown analysis – physical teardown, inspection pictures, documentation
- Interface with cross-functional teams to effectively complete assigned tasks
- Be responsible, independent, and open to instruction
- Gain developmental opportunities through projects, job rotation, hands-on training, and exposure to Schaeffler's technological processes
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- Maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher per semester
- Experience in Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
- Self-motivated and driven to achieve results
- Assertive approach to problem-solving
- The ability to sit at a workstation for extended periods, and lift and move up to thirty pounds
- Preferred: SAE collegiate competition team (Formula, Baja, etc.), 3D CAD modeling and software, Mechanical hobbyist
Qualifications
