About the role

Responsibilities

  • Support design tasks, including calculation, simulation, CAD modeling, analysis, component sizing
  • Component or system level mechanical testing
  • Component teardown analysis – physical teardown, inspection pictures, documentation
  • Interface with cross-functional teams to effectively complete assigned tasks
  • Be responsible, independent, and open to instruction
  • Gain developmental opportunities through projects, job rotation, hands-on training, and exposure to Schaeffler's technological processes

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Maintain a 2.5 GPA or higher per semester
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Self-motivated and driven to achieve results
  • Assertive approach to problem-solving
  • The ability to sit at a workstation for extended periods, and lift and move up to thirty pounds
  • Preferred: SAE collegiate competition team (Formula, Baja, etc.), 3D CAD modeling and software, Mechanical hobbyist

Qualifications
