About the role
Creative, self-motivated, and eager to learn, the XiO Cloud Software Engineering Co-op will contribute to the development of Crestron's enterprise-grade, cloud-based web application, XiO Cloud. This role offers hands-on experience with modern frontend technologies, responsive web design, and enterprise software development practices.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to well-defined projects supporting the XiO Cloud platform.
- Assist in developing and enhancing Angular components, services, and modules within the XiO Cloud single-page application.
- Collaborate with engineers to implement responsive and accessible user interface designs.
- Support integration efforts between frontend applications and backend APIs.
- Participate in software testing, debugging, and maintenance activities.
- Aid in developing and executing unit and integration tests to support software quality and reliability.
- Participate in code reviews, Agile ceremonies, team discussions, and technical design conversations.
- Document technical findings, implementation details, and test results to support team knowledge sharing.
Qualifications
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Must have unrestricted work authorization in the United States now and in the future.
- Strong programming fundamentals and understanding of software development concepts.
- Familiarity with object-oriented programming principles and software engineering best practices.
- Familiarity with version control using Git.
- Coursework, project experience, or familiarity with JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Familiarity with Angular, React, Vue, or another modern frontend framework.
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, responsive web-design, and user interface development.
- Exposure to REST APIs and client-server application architecture.
- Interest in user experience, accessibility, or design systems is a plus.
