CNO Software Developer
About the role
Accenture Federal Services is seeking a CNO Software Developer to support our client in Ft. Meade, MD. The role involves designing, developing, testing, and maintaining advanced cyberspace capabilities, translating operational requirements into technical solutions, and ensuring designs meet mission objectives while maintaining strict security and performance standards.
Responsibilities
- Define project scope, mission objectives, timelines, and deliverables for advanced cyber capability development
- Gather, analyze, and prioritize stakeholder requirements within classified environments
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks, vulnerabilities, and technical constraints throughout development
- Estimate development effort, resource needs, and time requirements for complex capability builds
- Write, test, debug, and refine code in multiple programming languages
- Packaging proof-of-concept code into multi-stage executables used for cyber effects and operations
- Implement secure coding standards and security best practices throughout all development stages
- Develop conceptual, logical, and physical software models aligned with mission requirements
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and ensure compliance with cybersecurity, operational, and regulatory standards
- Develop and execute unit, integration, system, and acceptance tests to validate code quality and mission readiness
- Validate software performance in operationally representative environments
Requirements
- 5 years of software development experience with a focus on secure, mission-critical applications
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages, including: Python, C, C++, .NET, Java, Bash scripting
- Experience with operating systems such as Linux, Windows, Android, iOS, or real-time operating systems
- Experience with cryptography, hashing, network protocols, and/or Wi-Fi protocols
Bonus Points
- Bachelor's degree in technical field
- Master’s degree in a relevant technical field
- Experience supporting DoD or Intelligence Community missions
- Knowledge of cyber operations concepts, requirements, and operational workflows
- Experience with DevSecOps pipelines, automation tools, and secure build practices
- Understanding of networking devices, infrastructure, and distributed systems
- Ability to develop multi-stage executables for cyber operations
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively within classified environments and cross-functional cyber teams

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, and the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below.
