CNO Software Developer Position Description
The CNO Software Developer at Nightwing CODEX is responsible for designing and implementing custom software tools and techniques. Most work is done in Python, C++, and Java, targeting Windows and Linux environments. Key responsibilities include diagnosing and debugging customer issues, developing and testing software, writing documentation, and interfacing with other developers and customers.
- Develops custom software tools and techniques in Python, C++, and Java
- Diagnoses and debugs customer issues using industry-standard tools and custom toolsets
- Designs, develops, and tests software solutions
- Writes documentation for operating and supporting developed software
- Attends design meetings, mentors junior developers, and performs code reviews
- Solves problems and communicates requirements, status, and other information with customers and other developers
Technical Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience programming in C/C++ or similar languages and Python
- In-depth understanding of network protocols and OS internals
- Experience with IDA Pro, Ghidra, or similar binary analysis tools
- Familiarity with modern software engineering concepts
- Ability to gather requirements and design solutions independently
- Strong knowledge of software security technologies like ASLR and DEP
- Experience with additional architectures (ARM, RISC, PPC)
Experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, Computer Science, or related field
- Top Secret/SCI + CI Poly security clearance required
