CNO Developer (Senior Software Developer; Systems Software)

About the role

This position is responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that support critical cyber operations within the Department of Defense.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and support software solutions for USCYBERCOM, NSA, and other DoD cyber operations.
• Support reverse engineering and vulnerability analysis activities as needed.
• Work with multiple platforms including Linux, Windows, and mobile environments.
• Contribute to projects involving Cyber Security, AI/ML, and cloud computing.
• Ensure compliance with DoD 8570/8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) levels II certifications.

Requirements

• Knowledge of one or more platforms and operating systems and of programming languages such as Windows, Linux, C/C++, and Python.
• Experience with assembly language on any platform or processor.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced mission environments.
• Ability to identify and escalate operational risks early.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph (or ability to obtain prior to starting).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related discipline and 12+ years of experience; or a master’s degree and 10+ years of experience.
• Desired: Experience supporting USCYBERCOM, NSA, DoD cyber operations, or related mission environments; experience in Software Development, Reverse Engineering, and Vulnerability Analysis; experience on at least two of the following platforms: Linux, Windows, Mobile; experience in Cyber Security, AI/ML, cloud computing, full-stack development; CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP (DoD 8570/8140 IAT level II certification).
