T-Rex has been tracking a recent trend of job offer scams. These scams start with an unsolicited email or LinkedIn message from a fake or impersonated recruiter that states the candidate meets a skillset that the recruiter is looking for. That is often followed up with a false screening questionnaire and even an interview for the nonexistent position. After this, the candidate receives an official-looking job offer. In some cases, there is also a request for a large payment to acquire office equipment, such as a laptop. The scammer tells the victim that they will be reimbursed for the purchase of the office equipment, but of course this never happens.

About the role

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions
• Contribute to the design and development of innovative features
• Participate in code reviews and mentoring junior developers

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain robust software applications using modern programming languages and frameworks
• Work closely with product managers to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications
• Perform unit testing and integration testing to ensure software quality
• Debug and resolve complex issues in production environments

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
• 2+ years of professional software development experience
• Proficiency in at least one major programming language (e.g., Java, Python, C++)
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

Qualifications

• Passionate about technology and eager to learn new tools and techniques
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Skills

• Knowledge of agile methodologies

Pay

Salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 annually
