CNC Tool Designer

Growing Company in need of a seasoned Tool Designer!

Responsibilities

• Design and develop new tooling concepts and processes to improve production efficiency, quality, and safety.
• Utilize CAD/CAM software to create detailed 3D models and technical drawings of tools and fixtures.
• Program CNC machines using G Code for 5 Axis, lathe, and mill operations.
• Perform tooling and process trials, analyze results, and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to troubleshoot and resolve tooling and process issues.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of tool designs, processes, and machine settings.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for process optimization and cost reduction.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC tool design, preferably in the manufacturing industry.
• Proficient in G Code programming for 5 Axis, lathe, and mill operations.
• Extensive experience with Tool and Die design and fabrication.
• Strong knowledge of CNC machine operation and maintenance.
• Proficient in using CAD/CAM software for tool design and CNC programming.
• Experience with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field is preferred.

Pay

$85,000 - $105,000 per year
