CNC Swiss Machinist / Programmer

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Developing and programming new parts on multi-axis Swiss lathes.
• Interpreting drawings, setting up machines, and performing quality assurance tests.
• Adjusting cutting paths to optimize production while maintaining quality.
• Troubleshooting machine issues and performing basic maintenance.
• Designing tooling processes and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Training new employees on machine operation and programming.
• Maintaining a clean, secure, and well-maintained work environment.

Qualifications & Skills

• A high school diploma or GED; vocational or apprenticeship preferred.
• 5+ years of experience programming Swiss lathes or similar machines.
• Proficiency with manual, semi-automated, or automated tools and machines.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and interpretative skills.
• Ability to read blueprints, understand material properties, and perform detailed measurements.
• Excellent mathematical, analytical, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Self-motivated, punctual, and capable of managing multiple projects.
