CNC Set-Up Operator
- Responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality precision parts according to engineering specifications and production schedules.
- Sets up, operates and maintains operations on one or more CNC controlled turning or machining centers per verbal or written instructions, sketch sheets or engineering drawings.
- Ensures all required setup and run documentation such as process sheets and inspection check sheets are in place.
- Determines appropriate tooling, speeds, feeds, and process to achieve production and quality requirements.
- Creates, modifies, or activates CNC programs used to produce specific parts.
- Optimizes existing programs, tooling, or processes to achieve or exceed production and quality requirements.
- Obtains first piece verification, completes process check sheets and maintains all dimensions to required tolerances.
- Operates production machines as required.
- Adjusts the setup, tool wear offsets or CNC program as required. Informs operator(s) of any changes to the program process, production or quality requirements.
- Performs preventive maintenance on assigned equipment per approved schedules.
- Documents and reports of any changes made to the machine setup or program.
- Accurately completes setup verification check sheets, output and other documentation as required by management.
CNC Operator
- Responsible for operating and maintaining CNC turning and machining centers and other equipment as required.
- Works closely with engineers and production teams to ensure all products meet precise specifications and quality standards.
- Operates and maintains operations on one or more CNC controlled turning or machining centers after being set up by others.
- Performs tasks using sketches or engineering drawings and verbal or written instructions.
- Can properly use and understand all standard measurement tools required to control the process being run.
- Inspects parts produced per inspection check sheets at instructed intervals. Maintains all dimensions to required tolerance.
- Adjusts tool wear offsets to control feature size(s) of parts being produced.
- Has working knowledge of programming and is able to make minor adjustments to part programs with supervision.
- Responsible for achieving production output requirements and accurately reports output in a timely manner.
- Performs preventive maintenance on assigned equipment as instructed by management.
- Documents and reports of any changes made to the machine setup or program.
Non-Essential Responsibilities
- Performs other duties as directed.
- Trains, instructs, and/or assists with less skilled operators on specific job task requirements, including all paperwork, and confirms cycle efficiency and correctness of parts produced by trained operator.
- Responsible for housekeeping and maintaining a clean and safe workplace.
Position Qualifications and Competency Statements
- 3-5 years of job experience in related field.
- Ability to read and write English.
- Communication – Ability to effectively communicate with others verbally and in writing.

- Perform any other task requested by management.
- Demonstrate adherence to all departmental and company procedures and policies.
Hours
- 1st shift: Monday - Friday, 6am to 4:30pm (overtime is not a guarantee)
- 1st shift: Saturday 6am to Noon (based on production needs)
- 2nd shift: Monday – Friday, 4:15pm to 2:45am (overtime is not a guarantee)
- 2nd shift: Saturday, Noon to 6pm (based on production needs)
