CNC Setup Machinist – Prototype & Production

About the role

The CNC Setup Machinist is responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce prototypes and production parts. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with various CNC machines.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC machines to manufacture prototype and production parts.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to ensure accurate part machining.
• Perform quality checks on machined parts to ensure conformance to specifications.
• Adjust machine settings and troubleshoot issues as needed.
• Work collaboratively with other team members to meet production goals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficiency with CNC machines such as the Mazak VTC, Fanuc, and Siemens.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Basic knowledge of quality control procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience with CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code.
• Knowledge of metrology tools and techniques.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
