CNC Programming Engineer

About the role

The CNC Programming Engineer will develop CAM methodologies, solve technical problems, streamline setup procedures, integrate tooling, and establish standard practices to enhance CNC program processes.

Responsibilities

• Create CNC machining programs from 3D models using CAD/CAM software.
• Create setup drawings and instructions.
• Select cutting tools for the CAM programs.
• Lead or participate in process improvement initiatives.
• Work with the shop to refine the machining process.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in manufacturing engineering, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• 2+ years of CNC programming experience in metal cutting.
• Experience with ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management Systems.
• Knowledge of GD&T, ANSI, and ISO Engineering Standards.
• Strong experience addressing quality issues in product manufacturing operations.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Background in operating lathes, drills, mills, grinders, heat treat, and welding.
