CNC Programmer / Operator
Permanent, full-time position at a well-established custom metal fabrication company specializing in food service equipment.
About the role
This hands-on role combines CNC programming, machine setup and operation, tooling selection, and quality verification. The ideal candidate will have experience programming laser cutting and punch equipment using SigmaNest and Trumpf TruTops Boost, along with a strong understanding of CNC and sheet metal fabrication processes.
Responsibilities
- Program laser cutting and punch equipment using SigmaNest and Trumpf TruTops Boost
- Set up and operate CNC machinery, including Amada laser and Trumpf combination laser/punch equipment
- Select and specify appropriate tooling for various machining and fabrication operations
- Review shop drawings and translate specifications into accurate machine programs and setups
- Verify dimensions and accuracy of finished parts and components
- Ensure all fabricated parts meet quality and customer specifications
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to machine processes, programming, tooling, and operation
- Collaborate with engineers and other members of the manufacturing team
- Work effectively in both office and manufacturing-floor environments
- Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a safety-conscious work environment
Requirements
- Previous experience as a CNC Programmer, CNC Operator, CNC Programmer/Operator, or similar role
- Strong sheet metal fabrication experience
- Hands-on experience with SigmaNest
- Strong experience with Trumpf TruTops Boost
- Experience setting up and operating CNC laser and punch equipment
- Experience with Amada and/or Trumpf machinery strongly preferred
- Solid understanding of CNC machining and fabrication principles
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and technical specifications
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
- Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with engineers and manufacturing personnel
- Safety-conscious work ethic
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.

Pay
$65,000–$80,000 per year
