CNC Programmer

Primary Responsibilities

• Formulate efficient operational programs to maximize machine utilization and product quality while meeting customer expectations.
• Complete and maintain program documentation and file systems.
• Respond to short-term shop needs to keep NC machines operating at maximum efficiency.
• Support cost reduction initiatives by identifying and reporting cost-saving opportunities.
• Stay current on new processes, tools, and methods, and apply them to NC manufacturing.
• Maintain open communication with all personnel, accepting suggestions and instruction.
• Cook with the Manufacturing Engineer to update routers for created or modified part programs.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
• Comply with all NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.

Facility/Group Specific Responsibilities

• Utilize Esprit CAD/CAM software.
• Experience programming Mazak INTEGREX E-670HW, INTEGREX E650H2, and CT4500M preferred.
• Mazatrol programming preferred.
• Competency in 3D modeling systems and model creation.

Education & Experience Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• A minimum of 5 years of programming experience or 5–7 years of machine operation and programming experience.
• Competency in 3D modeling systems and model creation.
• Experience programming large offshore BOPs and other equipment preferred.
• Experience programming large G&L, vertical machining centers, and HBMs utilizing Fanuc controls preferred.
• Experience with Vericut and creating probing routines preferred.
• SolidWorks experience and model creation required.
