CNC Programmer

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain programs for each piece of blanking and welding equipment.
• Maintain and/or change the floor routings and BOMs required for processing the parts through the sheet metal department.
• Resolve programming issues.

Qualifications

• H. S. Diploma
• At least 18 years old to work in a manufacturing environment
• Technical School/Associate Degree preferred
• Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and prints
• Ability to interact effectively with both production and engineering employees
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and PDM/ERP systems (AS/400, iSeries, MAPICS)
• Demonstrated knowledge of creating AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or ProE
• Proficient in SigmaNest, Striker, and G-code/M-code
• Demonstrated knowledge of fabrication sheet metal processes including punch press, brake press, laser, and CNC

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to talk and hear
• Regularly required to stand and walk
• On occasion, stoop, bend or reach above the shoulders
• Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
• Sit, close vision, and ability to adjust focus required
