About the role

The CNC Programmer at fab2 is crucial for driving down the cycle time of manufacturing processes. With a focus on reducing the cycle time from 45 minutes to 20 minutes per part, this role involves programming 5-axis VMCs and mill-turn lathes, developing probing routines, and ensuring DFM feedback to the design team.

  • Toolpath strategy for stainless and aluminum semiconductor-grade parts
  • Probing routines for in-process inspection
  • Tool library, tool-life tracking, and offset management at the Zoller presetter
  • Pallet-pool lights-out programs for the UMC fleet
  • DFM feedback to the design team
  • Process documentation that survives operator turnover

Requirements

  • 4+ years CNC programming, including 2+ years on 5-axis
  • Strong fluency in Mastercam, Fusion 360, or HSMWorks
  • Native Haas control (or comparable Fanuc/Siemens)
  • GD&T fluency, comfortable reading drawings to spec
  • Documented track record of improving part families' cycle times

Nice-to-Have

  • Trunnion-mount 5-axis programming
  • Pallet-pool / lights-out experience (Fastems or similar)
  • Mill-turn programming on DS-30Y class machines
  • Semiconductor, aerospace, or medical-device part background
  • Mastercam Multi-Axis or HSMWorks Adaptive Clearing certification
