CNC Operator- SHM

About the Role

The primary function of the CNC Operator is to cut, bend, and V-groove parts for Assembly using CNC equipment and software.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and materials to ensure the correct data is entered into the CNC machine.
• Execute V-grooving and bending jobs utilizing the CNC machine.
• Ensure that work area and surrounding areas are kept clean and maintained at all times.
• Operate and program other shop machinery, including press brake, shear, V-groover, and waterjet.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED; some additional training at technical school is preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints, interior design, and architectural drawings.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to work under tight time constraints, demanding schedules, and prioritize tasks.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact and communicate with all levels within the organization.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Physical and Mental Demands

• Must pass pre-employment physical / musculoskeletal exam.
• Must pass drug screening.
• Must pass an audiogram test.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds on a daily basis.
• Regularly required to talk and listen.
• Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms.
• Occasionally required to sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
• Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 75 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, the ability to see and differentiate color, and to focus.

This position operates in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.
