CNC Operator Level II | 1st Shift | Mon - Thu 5am - 3pm

About the role
We are seeking a CNC Operator II to join our team of talented people in Fountain Inn, SC. This 1st shift position (Monday - Thursday, 5am - 3pm) will help continue our tradition of innovation and market leadership. Our CNC Operators program and operate computer-controlled lathes, mills, and grinders to craft high-precision metal blades and saws.
Responsibilities
- Set up machines and change tooling or saw blades to grind/cut steel
- Use specialized saws or hand tools
- Read industrial knife blueprints and use calipers and micrometers (must understand fractions and decimals)
- Complete Statistical Process Control Charts (SPCs) for all assignments
- Perform quality checks
- Load and unload steel from machines (forklift certified or able to become certified)
- General cleaning and maintenance of machines and work area
- Work with a high sense of urgency and wear all required PPE
- Provide support and training to others as needed
- Actively participate in Lean and Safety Training
- Cross-train to other positions as requested
- Accurately input data into ERP System and CNC Machines
- Troubleshoot problems with team members to meet customer demands
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Must be able to speak and read English
- Must be able to do basic math
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand for the duration of shift
- High school diploma or equivalent
Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Teams and email
- Ability to work collaboratively to troubleshoot problems
- Experience with CNC programming and operation
Pay
$26.00 - $28.00 USD per hour
Schedule
1st shift: Monday - Thursday, 5:00 AM - 3:00 PM
