CNC Operator Level II | 1st Shift | Mon - Thu 5am - 3pm

About the role

We are seeking a CNC Operator II to join our team of talented people in Fountain Inn, SC. This 1st shift position (Monday - Thursday, 5am - 3pm) will help continue our tradition of innovation and market leadership. Our CNC Operators program and operate computer-controlled lathes, mills, and grinders to craft high-precision metal blades and saws.

Responsibilities

• Set up machines and change tooling or saw blades to grind/cut steel
• Use specialized saws or hand tools
• Read industrial knife blueprints and use calipers and micrometers (must understand fractions and decimals)
• Complete Statistical Process Control Charts (SPCs) for all assignments
• Perform quality checks
• Load and unload steel from machines (forklift certified or able to become certified)
• General cleaning and maintenance of machines and work area
• Work with a high sense of urgency and wear all required PPE
• Provide support and training to others as needed
• Actively participate in Lean and Safety Training
• Cross-train to other positions as requested
• Accurately input data into ERP System and CNC Machines
• Troubleshoot problems with team members to meet customer demands
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must be able to speak and read English
• Must be able to do basic math
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds
• Must be able to stand for the duration of shift
• High school diploma or equivalent

Skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Teams and email
• Ability to work collaboratively to troubleshoot problems
• Experience with CNC programming and operation

Pay

$26.00 - $28.00 USD per hour

Schedule

1st shift: Monday - Thursday, 5:00 AM - 3:00 PM
