Responsibilities
- Set up CNC grinding machines, including tooling, offsets, and adjustments.
- Program and operate CNC grinders to meet exact blueprint and customer specifications.
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, prints, and technical documentation.
- Inspect parts using precision measurement and quality control tools.
- Monitor production quality throughout the process—catching issues before they become problems.
- Troubleshoot quality concerns and communicate effectively with programmers and leadership.
- Perform daily machine inspections to ensure safe, efficient operation.
- Maintain organized, clean, and safe workstations.
- Support continuous improvement and take ownership of your work.
- Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support production goals.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED.
- 2+ years of 5-Axis CNC setup and operation experience, preferably on ANCA- or NUM-controlled platforms.
- A strong understanding of carbide cutting tools and grinding processes.
- Machining or CNC-related certification preferred, but proven hands-on experience is valued.
- Knowledge of cutters, inserts, feeds, and speeds is a strong advantage.
- CNC programming experience is a plus, but not required.
- Mechanical aptitude and manufacturing experience preferred.
