Responsibilities

  • Set up CNC grinding machines, including tooling, offsets, and adjustments.
  • Program and operate CNC grinders to meet exact blueprint and customer specifications.
  • Read and interpret detailed blueprints, prints, and technical documentation.
  • Inspect parts using precision measurement and quality control tools.
  • Monitor production quality throughout the process—catching issues before they become problems.
  • Troubleshoot quality concerns and communicate effectively with programmers and leadership.
  • Perform daily machine inspections to ensure safe, efficient operation.
  • Maintain organized, clean, and safe workstations.
  • Support continuous improvement and take ownership of your work.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed to support production goals.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of 5-Axis CNC setup and operation experience, preferably on ANCA- or NUM-controlled platforms.
  • A strong understanding of carbide cutting tools and grinding processes.
  • Machining or CNC-related certification preferred, but proven hands-on experience is valued.
  • Knowledge of cutters, inserts, feeds, and speeds is a strong advantage.
  • CNC programming experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Mechanical aptitude and manufacturing experience preferred.
